Pesto is packed with basil, a rich source of vitamin K, zinc, calcium, magnesium, and potassium.

Step 1:

To a food processor or blender, add the basil, pine nuts, garlic, lemon juice, nutritional yeast, and sea salt and blend/mix on high while adding the olive oil a little at a time (streaming in while the machine is on if possible) and scrape down sides as needed. Then add 1 tbsp water until the desired consistency is reached – a thick but pourable sauce. It will keep in a sealed container for two weeks in the refrigerator or freeze to keep it fresh for up to one month.
